By switching to solar, Savaneti aims to reduce their dependence on fossil fuels, cut electricity costs, and increase the sustainability of their operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Solar power is a perfect match for agriculture applications like chicken farms. By locking in low-cost solar electricity for decades, farms can better plan for the future and invest more into their businesses instead of unpredictable utility bills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bolnisi region receives abundant sunlight year-round, making it an ideal location for solar energy production. The modular nature of solar power also allows farms to start small and expand their systems over time as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Savaneti specifically, the on-site solar energy will provide reliable power for ventilation, lighting, feeding systems and egg collection operations. Solar can even provide energy for heating chicken coops during colder months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the direct benefits for the chicken farm owners, this project also supports Georgia&#8217;s renewable energy goals. The government has initiatives to increase solar capacity across the country and reduce dependence on imported fuels.
